The best thing I ever did for my clinical growth was find someone who could think through the hard stuff with me. That's what I want to be for you.
You Deserve Seasoned Support
Complex GI cases don’t always follow the textbook, and having a seasoned functional nutrition mentor in your corner can change everything — how you think through a tough presentation, how you sequence a protocol, and how confident you feel when the picture isn’t clear.
As a mentor, faculty member, and peer-reviewer with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA), Amy brings a depth of clinical and educational experience that goes far beyond the typical mentorship relationship.
But clinical support is only part of it. Building an integrative and functional nutrition practice focused on gastrointestinal health comes with its own challenges — finding your niche, communicating your value, and creating a business that actually works for your life. Wherever you are in that journey, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Where The Deep Work Happens
Complex GI cases have a way of humbling even the most experienced clinicians. Having a seasoned collaborator who lives in this space every day changes how you think, how you protocol, and how confident you feel walking into your next appointment.
- Functional lab interpretation — stool testing, organic acids, nutrigenomics, food sensitivity, and more
- Finding the root cause when the picture isn’t clear
- Building and sequencing supplement protocols
- Knowing where to turn when a case stalls
- Differential thinking for complex, multi-layered cases
A Different Kind of Preceptorship
If you’re a nutrition or dietetic student looking for a GI-focused preceptorship experience, this might be exactly what you’ve been searching for. I accept one student per semester — because real learning deserves real attention.
During your integrative and functional nutrition preceptorship you’ll:
- Explore the foundations of Integrative and Functional Nutrition
- Think critically about digestive and GI root causes rather than just managing symptoms
- Interpret functional labs in a real clinical setting
- Conduct research that directly supports patient care
- Help draft patient handouts and educational materials
- Get an inside look at what it takes to run a successful private practice
How Mentorship Works
All functional nutrition mentorship sessions are conducted virtually, giving you access to GI-focused clinical support no matter where you’re located. Sessions are $150/hour with frequency tailored to your needs — weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as-needed. To help you coordinate timing, Amy is located in the Eastern Time Zone.
When you book, you’ll complete a short questionnaire so we can hit the ground running from session one.
